The new McKinley Children’s Center site at www.mckinleycc.org received a “Best in Class" award in the Non-Profit category from the Interactive Media Awards (IMA). The award recognizes excellence in Web site development in a number of categories.
"The new web site is a major outreach initiative designed to tell the story of McKinley and how we can help the community,” said Al Mason, McKinley Children’s Center’s Chief Executive Officer. “I am very happy with the efforts of our team and the Web Advanced Company for their efforts in delivering a wonderful web site.”
The IMA recognizes the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievement. Created by the Interactive Media Council, Inc. (IMC), a nonprofit organization of leading web designers, developers, programmers, advertisers and other web-related professionals, the competition is designed to elevate the standards of excellence on the Internet and offer winners a boost in marketing and exposure. IMC serves as the primary sponsor and governing body of the Interactive Media Awards, establishes the judging system and provides the judges for the competition.
Award entries are judged based on a several categories including Design, Content, Feature Functionality, Usability, and Standards Compliance & Cross-Browser Compatibility. McKinley received a total of 489 points of out 500.
McKinley Children’s Center has been a leader in providing top quality services to the children and families of the community since it opened in 1900. McKinley provides Special Education, Brain Lab Reading Services, the M-Certified Training Center, Foster Care, Adoptions, Mental Health services, and Residential Care. McKinley’s is obsessively committed to quality, as evidenced by their accreditation by The Council on Accreditation, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and through being an approved provider with the International Association of Continuing Education and Training.
